Last June 6 and 7, the final event of CBEP Bus Forum was held in Barcelona as part of UITP’s Global Public Transport Summit: two days of discussion and debate on the most innovative and relevant technologies in the field of zero-emission public transport.
Fabio Cartolano, Managing Director of FIT Consulting, spoke during the plenary session dedicated to sharing experiences and lessons learned during the Project on “The CBEP Roadmaps: supporting cities along the journey. Overview technical support activities” presenting the work carried out for 42 European cities that benefited from a gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and a customized roadmap for defining concrete actions to be implemented in the coming years to address the complexities and challenges for the transition to clean and sustainable public transport, including the replacement of diesel vehicles with hybrid, electric or hydrogen vehicles.
During the session, several cities presented their experiences, and Robert Lacko, a representative of public transport operator DPMK in Košice, Slovakia, joined Fabio Cartolano in testifying the benefits of the technical support they received as a result of the work carried out by FIT consulting as part of the initiative.
