Fit actively participates as a member of important national and international realities engaged in the promotion of mobility services of goods and people and logistics. All associations respond perfectly to the principles of the company vision.
From the 2014 FIT is a member of ALICE – Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe. ALICE is the European technological platform – formally recognized by the European Commission – which has the ambitious task of acting as an incubator for research and innovation in the field of logistics and supply chain management in Europe for the logistics industry. ALICE supports, assists and advises the European Commission in the implementation of the EU research programs Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe with the aim of accelerating the transition towards net-zero emissions transport and logistics operations and accompanying the logistics industry towards decarbonization by 2050, through the Physical Internet. Since 2015, Paola Cossu, CEO of FIT, has been in the leadership team of the Urban Logistics thematic group.
From the 2017 FIT is a member of TTS Italia, National Association for Telematics for Transport and Safety, a reality created with the aim of contributing to improving the efficiency and safety of the Italian transport system through the analysis of problems and opportunities, the formulation of proposals and the dissemination of information and knowledge in the sector of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and their benefits. TTS Italia therefore brings together both public and private organizations active in the development and implementation of Intelligent Systems for Transport and Security.
Dal 2017, FIT è membro di UITP – Union Internationale des Transports Publics, rete mondiale che aggrega il mercato del trasporto pubblico e della mobilità sostenibile. In particular, UITP supports and promotes transport policies and technological innovation towards sustainable mobility in urban areas around the world, with the ultimate aim of improving the quality of life and economic well-being of people and environmental sustainability, with the mobility seen as a “right” accessible to all.
Since 2018, FIT has been a member of the Freight Leaders Council, a free private, non-partisan and non-profit association between companies active in every phase of the supply chain founded in 1991 with the aim of contributing to the development of increasingly competitive, sustainable and evolved. Studies and initiatives flow into opinions, evaluations and directions addressed to institutions, professionals and public opinion. Dal dicembre 2018 il presidente di FIT, Massimo Marciani, è anche presidente del FLC. In December 2021 he began his second term.
Since 2018, FIT has been a member of Kyoto Club, a non-profit organization made up of companies, bodies, associations and local administrations committed to achieving the objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions undertaken with the Kyoto Protocol, with decisions at EU level and with the Paris Agreement of December 2015. In line with the principles of FIT, Kyoto Club promotes awareness, information and training initiatives in the fields of energy efficiency, the use of renewables, the reduction and correct management of waste, sustainable agriculture and mobility in favor of the bioeconomy : the green and circular economy.
From January2024 FIT is a member of theInternational Data Space Association – IDSA. The 140+ members constitute an enthusiastic Community that aims to contribute actively to the development, evolution and promotion of Data Spaces. The Association represents an extraordinary European reality driving the principles of “data sovereignty.” Together with IDSA and its outstanding experts, FIT sees an opportunity for a future where everyone has control of their data, and make IDS standards become the norm, ensuring data “sovereignty” for all. There is still a lot of work to be done together, but our commitment is to contribute to the better understanding of Data Spaces, demonstrate their potential, and be an inspiration to new enthusiasts, based on fundamental principles such as, first and foremost, collaboration, toward a sustainable, equitable, secure, and transparent data economy.
