The DISCO project, coordinated by FIT, marks another important milestone with the consortium meeting held in Cologne on Oct. 16th and 17th

On October 16th and 17th in Cologne, Germany, hosted by Rupprecht Consult GmbH, the partners of the European project DISCO, coordinated by FIT, gathered for the Consortium meeting.

Two days of engaging discussions, debates and exchange of ideas during which the partners also had the incredible opportunity to welcome some external experts from the Impact Creation Board for Transformation (ICBT). On “stage” at the DISCO project meeting, Anne Goodchild, of Urban Freight Lab; Thomas Osdoba of NetZeroCitiesEU; Marianne Ryghaug of SINTEF and Andreas Nettsträter of Open Logistics Foundation brought their inspiring insights.

The partners’ meeting was also an opportunity to award the DISCO Starring Living Labs teams for their incredible achievements since the project began. Awards were then presented to the teams from the cities of Copenhagen, Ghent, Thessaloniki and Helsinki. FIT congratulates all the teams for their well-deserved recognition and hard work!

But that is not all. The two-day meeting in Cologne was also the occasion to launch the first version of our two DISCO fundamental output: the Meta Model Suite, developed by CERTH; and the Urban Freight Data Space, developed by INLECOM.

Last but not least, the project meeting represented an important milestone to transfer the lesson learned so far from our Starring Living Labs to our Twinning Living Labs which will soon enter into action. Stay tuned, more news soon!
